For the first time, March Madness tournament took place in a single state and its capital city decided to celebrate the tournament with pop up performances, dance crews and activations.

Tarrago Sneakers Paint was also introduced to the Indy Artist community of the capital at the ´Celebrate Artists´ art on Sneaker competition organized by MARTK'D. The program, directed by the renowned sneaker influencer, Dion Walcott, uses art and sneakers as an engagement tool to unite communities and culture.

Why Sneakers?
Since you are reading a sneakerscare blog, I am sure you already have an answer on your own, but we all agree with Dion Walcott who says," Sneakers is a real language we all speak and helps connect with people and communities". Although sneakers had always been his career and an active part of his life, during an exhibition he organized in Toronto he learned that there are so many stories behind the sneakers, so much history and it helps connect so many dots.

At  MARTK'D he strives to give opportunity to upcoming artists of different communities to show their art to an extended audience and bridge communities through art on sneakers. With past events with NBA team, Universities, major Sneaker brands/retailers, and many more, MARTK'D chose Indianapolis´ March Madness as the next destination for the movement.

At Sneakerscare we share the same values and were very excited to participate in the event organized by  MARTK'D and Pattern Magazine of Indianapolis.
Fifty artists of the Indy community were given the opportunity to express their artistic view on Indianapolis, Diversity, Equality, and Inclusion (DEI) by customizing art on #PumaClyde with Tarrago Sneakerscare Paints.
